What is the Dubai Driving Licence Procedure?

To get a new license, a subject or a resident has only to apply a registered driving institute within the connected emirate to attend driving coaching categories and pass all tests (if required). Once finishing all categories and spending all tests, somebody will get a replacement license valid for two years for voters, GCC nationals, and different nationalities. Candidates will begin the entire method from the authorized driving institutes, which include:

 

Eligibility to drive :

• Should be above the legal age and medically fit to apply for a new driving license

• The minimum age to obtain a driving license depends on the vehicle, for which you are applying for the license.

The minimum age requirement is as follows:

• 17 years for motorcycles and vehicles

• 18 years for cars and light vehicles

• 20 years for heavy vehicles and tractors

• 21 years for buses.

Driving License test?

 

• Theory test

• Parking test

• Get your eye test done.

• This can be carried out at your driving school or an optician

• Submit all relevant documents

• Obtain your temporary Dubai driving license or learner’s permit and begin training

• Complete all theory classes that can either be taken online or in the driving schools

• Pass the theory test to move on to the practical training

• Complete the practical classes, and go for your internal assessment

• Upon completion of the internal assessment, you need to complete highway and city road classes

• Pass the internal parking test so that the school applies for the RTA test

• Pass the test and then the final RTA road test

• Obtain license

2. residence visa page

3. Copy and original emirates ID card

4. 2 photographs

5. Eye test report

6. No objection letter from the sponsor

7. Passport size photos (at least 8)
